One day course - intro to digital photography (DSLR only)
This course is ideal for the complete beginner or for those with a basic knowledge of photography. Even if you are using some of the manual controls on your camera but are not yet confident knowing and understanding the principals - this course will suit you. Your learning experience will be very hands-on without all the fluffy technical jargon. You'll be doing things with your camera you didn't think possible!
By the end of the day, you will have gained sound photography knowledge and a feeling of confidence with your camera. You may be one of those who has a DSLR camera but have relied on the automatic controls - there's so much you'll learn.
The day will include practical sessions in aperture, shutter speeds, exposure control, ISO and white balance. It will also include using the rules of composition to creatively improve your photography. Don't worry if you don't know what any of this means yet - most people don't when they come to us! Two day course - intro to digital photography (DSLR only)
To begin, we'll recap and expand on all the skills and knowledge you have acquired from the first day (see above). We’ll all visit a great nearby location, where we’ll take part in an exciting photo-shoot. You will be given a set brief with specific tasks that you’ll have learnt from the previous day’s session.
You will have the course trainer with you and you’ll be rolling your sleeves up and getting ‘creative’ by putting into practice everything you have learnt. Practice makes perfect, so this is a great way to become completely immersed and learn at a deeper level.
We'll then head back to review the images taken, so we can 'ooh' and 'aah' at your new creative talent. We’ll advise, critique, give additional tips and techniques, ensuring you have the necessary skills. We'll then be on hand for a Q&A session. Finally, we’ll let you loose on the world, as you will be itching to use your DSLR, noticing how much your photography skills have been improved and how confident you feel now. Evening Photography City Tour - Nationwide
This course will teach you how to capture our nation’s great cities at night – using your DSLR.
We will teach you how to take great images in the evening, using your camera’s manual settings to achieve exciting effects that you never thought possible! You’ll soon be taking stunning images of and learning the tricks, and techniques of the professionals.
On our 2 hour course we will cover;
· Shutter Speed Light Effects (light trails, etc.)
· Using your tripod
· Aperture settings for successful night photography
· How to use the ISO and White Balance features of your DSLR

London Photography Tour

Landscape photography (DSLR only)
This is a full one day course, where you'll be outside the entire time learning all the tips, techniques and skills to take fantastic landscape pictures. You'll be learning all the advanced settings of your DSLR camera on full manual. This photography landscape course, amongst other things course will get you:
- Experimenting with advanced compositional techniques
- Learning about using natural lighting effectively
- Mastering aperture, shutter, ISO & White Balance in a landscape environment
- Using unusual viewpoints, foreground and background objects

Portrait & Studio Photography (DSLR only)
This one day course runs from either our London or Nottingham studio. We'll give you the opportunity to learn and use all of our studio equipment to take photographs of working models. This is very hands on and we'll run you through everything you need to know about portraits, equipment and lighting. You'll be able to use the shots from the day for your portfolio.
There's nothing like learning by actually getting involved, making mistakes and practicing whilst having our professional photographer on-hand to guide and support you. We'll teach you essential tips, advice and provide you with invaluable knowledge that you'll be immediately implementing whilst having fun and bringing out your own creativity.

This is a half day or evening workshop that will provide you with useable, practical and creative skills. You will learn vital information that will enable you to operate your digital camera effectively.

Oxford Photography Walking Tour
A 2 hour walking tour, taking in the sights and guided by a professional photographer.
This tour is suitable for all abilities and camera types and is endorsed by Visit Oxford and Tourism South East.
Joining our professional photographer you will visit sights such as the Radcliffe Camera, the historic colleges, the Hertford Bridge (Bridge of Sighs) as well as taking in the famous gargoyles hidden amongst the city’s beautiful architecture.
Tours operate at 1pm weekly on Saturday afternoons throughout the year and depart from Oxford Visitor Information Centre.
